Fun in Pennsylvania

Good Morning from Jersey Shore, PA!!

We are having a great time here! Tuesday we got to experience a tribal village that they have set up here. They have put alot of effort making this village as real as possible and even using staff dressed up as tribal people and speaking the tribal languages. What a great tool to be able to use with visitors to give them a taste of what a missionary is up against when they start a tribal work. This village will also be used for college groups that come through, they will get to experience language learning and all the funny mistakes that missionaries make when they are trying to learn a language.

Last night a group of us got to experience some Jersey Shore ice cream culture. We headed to an country trading post, Cohicks just down the road. It is a store with a little of everything in it, ice cream, guns, groceries, hardware items, house hold items and even shoes. There are alot of stuffed animal trophies and odd things. Here are a few pics of the sites at Cohicks.

OUR FEARLESS LEADER, I THINK!!!!

ONE OF THE LOCALS POSING FOR A PICTURE!
Ok, that really is Jason!!!!

As you can see we all had a fun time at Cohicks last night, and the ice cream was pretty good too. We are also having fun just sitting around and visiting, the kids are having a blast playing in the creek, and setting of fireworks. This afternoon it looks like a group of us are going to Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon. I'll let you all know what that was like when we get back.
Until Later,
Jenni for us all!

Relaxation!!

Thought I would let you know we are relaxing at NTM Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. We are here with some of the NTBI staff for a retreat. Yesterday after dropping off some stuff here we took Tabetha and Ethen to spend some time with the cousins in Williamsport. How neat that Steve and Andrea are just 10 min. down the road. Tabetha had fun playing Littlest Pet Shop with Jayla and Maddie. Ethen had a great time with Koty and the video games. They all slept in the basement in a tent and watched Cars. Jason and I had a great morning here learning about the new work here at NTM Jersey Shore. After lunch we headed back to Williamsport to pick up the kids. It was good to see the Halstead family again. Since being back after picking up Tabetha and Ethen we have not seem them much. This facility is a great place for kids. Well, maybe I should rephrase kids...Jason was out today on the quad riding the trails through the mountain here. So I guess this facility is a great place for kids of all ages.
People are filling up the dining hall for dinner now. I even see both the DeMarce children in the crowd. Well, it smells really good so I will say good-bye until next update.

Having fun before Round Up with some of the props!!

DeMarce's down on the ranch!!

We had another great night at VBS. I think we will all be sick of the green shirts by the end of the week though. Only two more nights and a little bit during the Sunday morning service. As a family we are having a blast and already talking about next year. Jason is loving cranking the sound system! Tabetha is having a great time with the babies in the nursery. Ethen and I are enjoying being crazy and joining in the run with the kids.

Off to the bunk house for tonight!!

More stuff for Benjamin!!

Word stuff!!
Busy, busy, busy...that is life right now. Monday was a long 13 hours of going. Jason and I both worked at the school until 1pm and then he drove me to my dentist appointment in Ann Arbor. We did get to rest some during the 2 1/2 hours at the dentist. I sure would rather have rested in the waiting room instead of the dentist chair though. By the time we got home it was a quick pick up the kids and hit the road for Avalanche Ranch, VBS. The DeMarce family is working as ranch hands in all different areas. So here it is Wednesday morning and I think I am ready to post some pictures from last night at VBS.

Picture stuff!!

Still Learning

Ok, I have just spent a long time learning how to allow comments. I am happy to report that my sister in Guinea, West Africa helped me out while we talked on Skype. Thanks Sue!
So we are busy! Jason is hard at work keeping several men busy and helping with things around school. I, Jenni, have been working 4 hours in the morning at the front desk. Tabetha has a summer babysitting job on Wednesday and Friday. Ethen just got finished with his first year at Paragon today. Tomorrow both kids will start "summer school." So that is what we are up to so far.
Until next time...hopefully soon and with pics.

Blog Beginnings

Technology...WOW! OK, so here we go with a blog. It said only about 5 min. to get going and it has now been about 15, but I must say it has been pretty easy to figure out. The goal for this bog site is to keep family and friends up to date with our goings on.
Until next post*
